Facts about Universe

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT THE UNIVERSE

Saturn's beautiful rings are not solid. They are made up of particles of ice, dust and rock -- some as tiny as grains of sand, some much larger than skyscrapers.
Winds around the Saturn's's equator can reach 1,800 kilometers (1,118 miles) per hour. In comparison, the fastest winds on Earth reach only about 400 kilometers (about 250 miles) per hour.
Equinox literally means "equal night." On an equinox, the sun is above the equator, so both the northern and southern hemispheres of the Earth receive about the same amount of sunlight, and day and night are the same length.

Neptune has the fastest wind speeds going upto 2000 kmph.

The Star Alpha Herculis is twenty five times larger than the circumference described by the earth's revolution around the sun. This means that twenty five diameters of our solar orbit would have to be placed end to end to equal the diameter of this Star.

avg temperature of universe is 3 kelvin

Surprisingly, black holes may not be totally black. Infalling material can get hot enough to glow. Sometimes black holes are so bright they can outshine an entire galaxy

all the planets in our solar system rotate from west to east...but venus n neptune rotate from east to west
